INTRODUCE JANY TO YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL

JANY helps students acquire skills for success in school, at work, and in life through a wide variety of age-appropriate programs for grades K–12. Research has shown that JA helps students better understand the importance of staying in school.

See how JANY measures up with the New York State and city curriculum standards in Correlations and Evaluations.

HOW YOUR CHILD CAN BENEFIT FROM JANY

Elementary School
Students learn about who they are and how they fit into the world. The program themes teach students about different roles in society. Lessons center around individuals, consumers, and workers in an expanding cultural environment that extends from the self and family to global relationships.
Middle School
Junior Achievement has programs for middle school and junior high school students that have proven effective in reinforcing the value of education, while teaching students about the benefits of staying in school. These programs help students understand how to turn their interests, skills, and values into a future career
High School
As high school students begin to plan for their future, they have many unanswered questions about what lies ahead. Junior Achievement's high school programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be useful in the working world and in their lives.

BECOME A JANY VOLUNTEER

One of the greatest predictors of student achievement is not economic or social status, but rather the extent to which parents become involved in their children's education.

No matter what your profession, your life experience and determination to succeed means you can serve as a role model — not just to your child, but to their peers, too.

Working with the JANY staff near you, you'll get all the materials and the training you need to be a success in the classroom.

As a JANY volunteer, you can give your child and their classmates the opportunity to discover how their talent and abilities can create a better life for themselves.
