S.M.A.R.T. Expo - Long Island - Thursday, March 27, 2008

Presented by: Junior Achievement of New York in collaboration with Long Island Works
Program sponsor: ING Foundation

The Annual S.M.A.R.T. (Science, Math, Art, Reading, and Technology) Expo builds upon the concepts and skills students learn throughout the school year while participating in JANY programs. Corporate employees from different firms serve as role models to middle school students by delivering engaging educational activities and providing hands-on knowledge.

Each year, middle school students participate in various engaging educational activities and exhibits that impart practical business knowledge in the subjects of science, math, art, reading, and technology.

S.M.A.R.T. EXPO DETAILS

During the Expo, students participate in educational games and interactive activities that highlight science, math, art, reading, and technology as the necessary skills for success. Participating students attend interactive booth presentations organized by various companies. At the end of each presentation, students are given the opportunity to ask the company representatives questions.
