JA NEW YORK VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

With JA New York, you get an opportunity to share your personal insights with students who look up to you and who are eager to learn from your experiences. And JA New York makes it easy for you. We provide structured lessons and a supportive environment, along with the flexibility for you to add your own personal touch. The result? JA New York volunteers often feel that they get just as much out of the experience as their students do.

VOLUNTEERING: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

JA New York volunteers lead fun, hands-on activities in grades K - 12 during the school day. As role models, volunteers bring "real world" experience into the classroom and show young people the importance of staying in school. Our volunteers come from diverse occupations, backgrounds, and age groups, including business professionals, parents, retirees, and college students. You will help students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities in the 21st-century.

Sign-up to volunteer!  A JA representative will send you a list of upcoming training sessions so you can get started.
