JA AFTERSCHOOL™ and summer programs are dedicated to meeting the need for quality, educational programming after the school day ends. JA AFTERSCHOOL™ efforts utilize a variety of JA New York K–12th grade programs to create rich, engaging after-school experiences for children in diverse communities across New York City and Long Island.
Utilizing a train-the-trainer model, JA New York teaches after-school partners how to successfully implement programs at their site and follow-up to ensure quality. JA New York provides all materials and training at no cost to schools.
JA New York's Afterschool program has been funded, in part, by a generous grant from the New York Life Foundation.
