What is JANY University?
The JANY University program provides students with the tools to
successfully navigate the path from high school to college and beyond.
It provides practical life-planning, college readiness, career exploration, and
networking opportunities to high school students and exposes them to professional
role models. Students learn to research and road-map their own personal vision plan
to help them successfully complete the high school to college transition.
The curriculum contains three 45-min sessions which discuss budgeting,
building a college action plan, and common financial decisions that college
students typically face. In addition to providing practical skills to students,
corporate volunteers share their own personal college and career experiences
and challenges with students to help motivate young people to persevere with
renewed confidence and inspiration to continue their education.
